When ever I go out for a spin I end up behind a sodding 4x4. Ordinarily that is ok but the dealership that I baught the car from is westover. They also have the local Land Rover dealership and everytime I get stuck behind one of these sodding things there is a big "westover" cover on the spare wheel. I am begining to feel betrayed by the guys at westover. They sell you the car and the dream then they sell some slow ass bod a rolling road block to pi$$ me off.

Humm... that'll be very clever product placement, point of sale direct marketing

It's not an accident. It's all part of the plan. It's all about getting you to buy an S or Cup so that short little overtaking opportunity you just know aint there ordinarily, suddenly becomes make-able when coupled with the idea of 'the next model up'

Yeah it's cynical mate, but it's a fact... or just sod's law

Anyway, complain to Westovers and your MP

That won't work though, so you're stuck. Metaphorically and actually. Judiths!!

Sell the lotus. Buy a mountain bike. Give the rest of the money to a charity. To someone who really needs it.

Buy a stage 2 - the landrover driver will think there's an earth quake approaching from behind and either put his / her foot down or escape off road (best place for them)... My Qsilver (which isn't as loud) normally has the desired effect on the 60mph drivers that occupy the fast lane of the M11...

I do have a new favourite 4x4. There is a local guy with a landrover sport, one of those supercharged thangs. Everytime he spots me we end up having a race. He is bloody good fun. We are equally matched utill 90(kph of course) or a bend.

After the roundabouts, I have to wait for him so I can humiliate him again...

I'm absolutely in love with them too. In black with all the bling and tinted windows. The perfect 'other' car to the Elise. I really want one.

Hi Gooby, I have had two Pajero Evolutions in the past. They have one fundimental problem: range. The fuel tank is standard I.E about 11 gallons and they only do about 12-15MPG when you use the MIVEC engine to the top of the rev range. So if you get 150 miles you are lucky, I was filling up two or three times a week, ended up with lots of Shell points, knew the St Leonard's Shell guy by name ! Really good fun, quite rare, totally reliable, crap offroad as the suspension is all tied down for road use. Many of the body panels, bonnet wings etc are ally, very expensive if you have a prang. Wife's got an X5 4.4i now; at least that is £90 to fill up but lasts all week!!!

Ouch! I test drove one a couple of years ago but it was too expensive at that point. I was going to get it for the wife but with that sort of fuel consumption, I dont think it is a good car for a comunity nurse!

It was so much fun. Felt like it had some sort of rocket booster! Oh well we have now narrowed the choice to a cooper s or some sort of Alfa.

Didnt think there would be anti 4x4 sentiment here of all places, soon the greeny tree huggers will turn their attention to "fast antisocial sports cars"
Complain to Westovers and your MP........Come on,get a life
