Supercars in Brighton Update
Discussion
I know a few people on here have been making enquiries on here about possibly taking part in the proceedings of this event on Saturday 20th May. As Yulia (Suprawoman) has already stated it is officially a Lamborghini and invited Supercar event. However the organisers have recognised that the event is generating a lot of interest amongst other 'Super' car owners. As a result of this, they have come up with a compromise that may be of interest to some of you.
As many of you know the Saturday run will be from Brooklands to Brighton, and to take part in this run the organisers are charging £60 - which includes entry to and breakfast at Brooklands. Due to the logistics of getting cars out of Brooklands when the run starts and in an effort not to swamp the caterers at Brooklands, numbers for this will be limited to 100, and that will obviously be for the Lambo drivers and invited guests.
However, there is nothing to stop people joining the run once it leaves Brooklands and to make things easier for everyone when the cavalcade arrives at Brighton, the organisers are prepared to split Madeira drive in to two sections. The first section will be for the Lambos and invited guests, with entry from the roundabout at the western end. The second section will provide parking for approximately 200 cars, with entry from Dukes Mound at the eastern end. There will be a charge for this of £30. I know a lot of you may think that £30 to park your car is a bit steep, but remember that this is secure parking, right on the seafront at Brighton, and that the funds are being donated to charity. Besides, if you do want to tag along, where else would you park in Brighton on a Saturday?
If anyone wants any more information, contact me or Suprawoman.

Lisa, Ive been speaking to Yulia about my mate with the Enzo (#399/399
)coming to this. Just spoke to him this morning, he's still up for it. If you could PM me I'll give you his mobile number or I can try and act as a go between, but I'll probably cock it up some where along the line
After moaning to Yulia that my cerb is really a SuperCar and should be allowed in the main paddock, I may seek second best and come along and park in the semi-unwashed parking further up Madeira Drive

I'll keep ya company, or my car can keep company to your car
and stop bloody moaning - just come over

Could be interesting as its only just along the coast from me and a few others cob owners.
So whats the SP on a cobra, we think they are super cars, but thats only our opinion, whats the organisers.
0-60 in about 4.5 secs is pretty damm quick after all. Just doesnt go around corners as well as some others.

Chuck a housebrick off the top of the Empire State building and it'll probably do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds; doesn't make it a Supercar though. LOL
Please don't jump on me guys, as it's not me who has defined what is or isn't a Supercar for the purposes of this event. Lamborghinis qualify basically because the event is being organised by the Lamborghini Club. Other cars qualify often on esoteric qualities that are difficult to define; perhaps by being a bit different, or maybe has a rare quality, or just unobtainable to the masses (read mega expensive for that one).
I agree that we all have a different idea of what defines a Supercar, but it's the organisers who are calling the shots on this one.

agreed with all the above, but seeing as this do is being held in the ground of the UK, then the UK (i know its now russia but it started here) most mass fast car manufacturer should be invited, if it was in italy then fair enough! too far anyway it might break down if i took it that far!!!!

Agree about the TVR, and I'm sure it would qualify (if it was made in Italy).
