Thanks for that!
Falken are having a clear out of their FK451s to make way for the 452.
A pair of 16s is £103, unfortunately sold out of the 15s though!

Some 'special' offer - I see they've knocked a whole £1.85 off the FK451 225/50/16 = 3.5% discount
They're selling the new FK452 225/50/16 at the same original price as the FK451s (£53.18)

er, 205/55 is the non PAS front tyre, so someone has the wrong ones fitted!

PAS cars have 215/55 fronts. Or should have.

Yours might have, I've got 205/55's and these were the original size on mine.

Mine had 205/55 15's fitted from new. A 400 with PAS. So that is what i am replacing them with as I`m worried about the 215's failing on the arches, on full lock.

I stand corrected!

According to the handbook, 4 litres were all fitted with 205/60 and 225/50, 5 litre non-PAS 205/55 and 235/50, 5 litre PAS 215/50 and 235/50. 1996 vintage, mileage may vary. Page 50, Chimaera handbook.

My handbook says 205/55zr fronts and 225/50zr for the rear page 45 for a mid '98 with PAS.
Also mentions Bridgestone S02. Its probably more down to tyre availability as 215/50 doesn't sound like a popular size to me.

If at first... the first Chimps had 205/60/15 fr and 225/55/16 rear.

I'd believe any source before the handbook!

I had 225's on the front of my first 4 litre, no problems whotsoever with the arches. Saying that all these cars are different
