Happened to be passing through Barnes at the weekend and had a look in American Carriage Co. Must be boom time for them at the moment with lots of current models on the forecourt as opposed to the older stuff they used to have at Kingston. Several C5s, a few C6s, loads of Mustangs, a couple of Dodge Magnum estate cars an SRT8 truck.

Pricing of the C5s was £20k for your choice of low mileage coupes in decent spec although without HUD as they were '98s. They were asking £27k for a low mileage 2003. Guess that leaves a realistic range for private C5 sales of £15k at the bottom end up to around £25k.

There were two very low mileage C6s both at £40k which didn't look a bad buy for someone who wants a car instantly. Probably 12 month ACC warranty on US imports as opposed to 3 year GM though.

Magnums looked good but would be a big risk of falling out of bed price-wise once Chrysler start selling the Euro version in RHD later this Spring.

SRT8 truck the price of a C6 Z06 so one for the well-heeled tradesman who wants to reach his customers fast!

I think that is the same collection of used cars they have had since last summer!
They have a US import C6 for sale at 40K but Stratstone are selling a UK spec same car in black with Sat-Nav & the balance of the 3 year warranty for the same price!
I know they are also doing some deals on 05MY that are in Stock!

I take it you mean no service back up with American carriage since their service manager left them. Not Stratstone??
I only use Ian Goss Services they are really good down there! And they have a C5 Vette for sale!!

I should have added that ACC have one of the new 6-speed paddle shift auto's in stock; a nice blue convertible. They seem to think it's s big step forward. I've been wondering whether this tranny might make its way on to the Z06 but they say they've checked it out and got an emphatic "no" as the answer. I'd be interested to hear if anyone's driven a car yet with the new auto. Otherwise I'll have to go and drive one!
