"Hella" Driving lamp suppliers anyone ??

More droning on about driving lamps I am afraid

And yes, I have used the search facility already, to no avail

Cibie SC's have supplier info, but I have yet to find any pointers to the Hella versions

It's an early '92, and I am assuming the mountings are not the same as the latter Cibie ones as stated in the Alternative parts list on the Griffith Pages

If anyone can enlighten me I would be grateful

My local (normally very good) motor factors have said bring it in and we'll try to match it. Early E30 BMW doesn't help them much unfortunately. I could do without removing it only to find they are a biatch to get hold of

Any clues ??

What nose you wearing if its the nearer type then the latter cibies ones I would have thought would fit.. But that is an assumption.
If its for the older nose and you do find out then please let me know and i'll ad it to the alternative list.

Prhaps someone like Sportmotive,tvrfix.com,Ewlehme coachworks or TVR bodyshop maybe able to help as they do a few crash repairs and may have teh part numbers or suppliers

Andy, mine too had Hella's and the part number was/is 1k3 114 155-001

I got mine from www.s-v-c.co.uk/ , although I think that was luck more than judgement.
I have found that some Capri light are the same part number.

I've got a lot of spare time on my hands this week.... I'll do some enquirying around and see what I coome up with.... Starting point is Capri .... hope I don't end up

Cheers guys, I hope to have an answer by tomorrow lunchtime as to a possible source of these units

The supplier has confirmed they can get them and one will be in at 10 am tomorrow for me to check with the origonal

Cheap to boot

It would appear that one of the previous owners, has swapped both the lights for H4 fitting units and as such this one would not match my good one.

The part number is spot on by the look of it for the standard light as it fits the black securing bracket perfectly (shame mine don't)

I have all 4 lights on dip and driving lamps on for mains. Which seem to work fine for me

The origonal units are available from Camberley Auto Factors for £29 including Vat. Bit cheaper than the £60 I've heard bantered about

Now I just have to find out where my H4's came from as neither have ID labels on the back

Back to square one for me

BB - pretty safe bet to put the part number on Griff Pages (excluding Moose's hybrid motor )
