4.0 ecu,... 99 over 96?

Can anyone tell me if there would there be any power/running advantages in fitting a 99 Chimaera 4.0 ECU to a 96 4.0 car, assuming they would even interchange?
Or are they one and the same anyway ?

one and the same i believe.if you want to get advantages by changing the ecu,then get a different one altogether(aftermarket).

No worries, just wondered if TVR had worked any power/running advantages with later 4.0ltr ECU’s over their earlier offerings lol ?
If not, then so be it.
