Think my car needs a wee tighten-up so I think re-bushing will be a good idea (it'll be followed by new tyres and a geo check)

Assuming I buy the eliseparts bushes, how much should I budget for so replacing the bushes? Is it a DIY job? If it's a garage job, how long should it take?

Thanks

depends - do you mean replacing all the suspension/wishbone/ARB bushes with Nylatron or Polyeurathane? ...lots of labour...wouldnt want to do it myself unless you have a good workshop, with lift and a press for removing the old ones etc....plus if you dont fit them right they can squeak a lot !

I think you are looking at a good 6-8 hours labour to do the whole lot + £250 for the bushes etc ...so about £400-650 depending on labour rate of wherever you go

seem to remember mine coming to about £600 with Nylatrons all round at MSC......

Bogie, are those Polyeurathane/Nylatron bushes a lot harder/stiffer on a light elise? you have around 300hp so I guess you need them what are they like to live with compared to the standard bushes, and have the Exige and 240R and Cup all the same standard bushes? or is it better/more direct to the feeling and diect link to replace them anyway when using more then 265hp? or are they to hard to live with on a daily base, wich I guess not because you have that too

yes, I was thinking Nylatron. The car just seems a wee bit noisy so I thought it was probably bushes (the dampers were changed about 6 months and 3,000/4000miles ago and its a different noise to when the old Konis were on their way out). Maybe it just needs geo'd and a good splattering of grease?
