Having just moved from a 205 racer to a Radical I find I now have a million different settings to think about. What I need is a book that details what everything does inc wings and how thet all interact with each other. Anyone recommend some bedtime reading?

Cheers

Well it was 20 years ago

Seriously though, Carrol Smith should still be your first port of call.

Yes it does. Covers most areas of race car tuning. Pretty well written and not full of buzzwords and Formulae.

Sounds like a good starting point but you can't beat experience.

It's a good few years behind on dampers and tyres, I agree, but the basics are all still spot on.

May i give you some advice? I've been trying to tune a go kart chassis for a couple of months now on my own. A weekend ago i said the hell with it and camped out under a tuner's tent to help me out ( with a small sum of course). Now ive been using a book that's told me to do this and that for a basic setup. Well, i was trying to do all of this complicated stuff when what i really wanted was in this little tuner book i had gotten with the go kart. Now the thing is unstoppable and hanldes like a dream. This won't help you much with tuning your radical, but a few things i've learned is usually the most simple things have the greatest impact on a chassis. Sorry for my rabble just thought i could pass on some wisdom.

Allan Staniforth's book is also worth a gander.
Usually easier to get hold of a copy too.

If I were you I'd get it done by someone who knows what they are doing.

When I had my Clubsport, I took it down to Radical for a day and spent it with one of their mechanics doing everything from oilchange to a flatfloor setup. Well worth it and Radical are very helpful and take the time out to sort you out. I learnt alot out my car that day.
