Anyone had any experience of repairing 944 rusting rear wheel archs? Seen a nice S2 BUT one of it's arches is bubbling on the trailing edge and wondered roughly how much this would be to repair.

Cheers,

Steve

Steve, I didn't think it would be long before you rejoined 'the fold'!

Had mine done on my old Lux, obviously it all depends on how bad it is, but as a guide I paid £325 for both sides including paint

Hi Stephen,

Hey, hey, I'm not quite there but nearly on the verge of Porker ownership once more.
Anyway, that doesn't sound too bad. Drop me an email and I'll send you a pic of what it looks like.

All the best,

Steve

Yep, just going through that process on a 924s. It had been repaired previously by PO's body shop, repair lasted 3 years. Am now replacing with genuine Stuttgart metal. If you go for it, I hope for your sake 944 rear quarter panels are cheaper.

I'd say stay away unless extraordinarily tidy otherwise, I bought my car despite, due to remarcable mechanical condition.
