A friend of mine is looking to buy & sell 'something' in his free-time in order to make a few extra pennies for his dream car fund (classic 911).

I have suggested 'fleabay' as a possible means of reaching a large target audience - worked well for my garage clearout of car spares.

I have also suggested that whatever he sells needs to be small enough to be easily sent from a post office to avoid the need for a specialist courier.

Any suggestions gratefully received

Sure someone in the US tried to sell cocaine on ebay and got busted

eBay is good, but make sure you calculate ALL the charges. I sold something for £199 using Buy It Now on eBay and paid over £15 in eBay and PayPal fees. That's quite a big chunk out of my profit
