Speedo Needle Catching the perspex!
Discussion
Since I've owned the Tam I have always heard a very high pitched noise. I could never track it down...until now!
Whilst watching the speedo needle move up the mph scale it touches the perspex screen of the instrument pod....any change in speed causes the needle to vibrate a little and cause the high pitched noise.
Has anybody had to remove the perspex cover of the instrument pod? Is it easy? can the dealers do it?
Not a real bother just annoying!
Cheers

I wish VBH was in my boot!
It's not clutch squeel...the high pitched sound is created by a high frequency of little taps that creates an intermittant noise...when I'm cruising at motorway speed (80) the needle is clear of the perspex and there is no noise.
It is now startingt to leave a sratch on the inside of the perspex.
Anybody removed the pod and done any work on it?
Cheers
