I don't want to upset anyone by cross-posting, but the P&J in question was a porker, maybe the 'other' guy lurks on here somewhere (he'll know who he is...)

Look you got blown away over there (and didn't respond to the replies you got either) so is it really worth a second try. I do not think so.

In the interests of not wishing to turn this into a 'Pie & Piston' flame affair, I posted my reply 'over there'...

And your point is? My point was why post the same thing on two different boards. That's all. Stop making it into some big issue.

Fulham 911 is spot on in my opinion fella's.

I think he was unfair to Bund but this muppet is asking a totally ridiculous question.

would you lend you car keys to a total stranger? Er, no I wouldn't - would anyone of sane mind do that? No they wouldn't.

Perhaps he also likes to know what peoples favourite numbers or colours are - a real Paxman.

I think what he he wanted 'achieve' was to 'listen' to some other people's opinions on what he'd done, rather than using a thread as an excuse to voice his own opinion again and again. That seemed like a reasonable thing to do to me.

Maybe he should just ask a question about suspension geometry in future and keep everyone comfortable!

From his later post in the other forum, I think police-state was trying to find out if the guy he lent his car to was on PH. It might be an arris-about-face way of asking, but there ya go. A simple "why are you asking this?" may have been in order.

Fair enough but wouldn't you say that the answer would be a pretty simple

'I wouldn't do it, no one with a brain would do it'?

It struck me as a silly thing to ask and in fairness, if he was interested in anyones thoughts/opinions, he didn't bother replying to anyone.

Admittedly it's a slow day and thins isn't exactly a big deal.

Well, Nonegreen lent me the keys to his 911 Turbo to have a drive around the Trafford Centre car park within five minutes of meeting me, so I guess he would......

Perhaps I have an honest face.......

I think this is all very strange to be honest..

Yes, the question of would you lend your keys is odd, but does it really warrant getting worked up over? If it bothers you that much, dont post?

You're right.

But it was a stupid question.

Is it really a no-brainer? What if the stranger is a "nice bloke", as the poster suggests.

Spin the question around the other way.... if someone offered you a drive in their P&J, would you accept. If the answer is yes, what's the problem?
