Theres no peace of mind for the victims yet again, and ol judgy wudgy thinks that itll take the pressure of the prison system.

Why dont they just do the obvious, and build bigger prisons, and put the scum in for longer?
Prison isnt meant to be nice and cosy, its to keep antisocial and violent turds off of the street.
I dunno whats goin on in some of these old farts heads.
Something else that wants changing is the way they serve the sentences.
They should work to pay for their keep in there, doing something for the community(not community service) so that they repay the system and the victims.
They should also DO THE TIME they get sentenced for.

This comes a couple of days after talk about increasing the sentence for death by dangerous driving to 10 years. So if your speeding while someone decides to commit suicide by steping in front of you - 10 years. If you break into someone's home mess up their life and steal their positions - freedom.
I reckon they could double the no. of prison spaces whilst halving the prison budget by putting them in a small cell and giving them bread and water and nowt else until their sentence is up. But that would be stupid wouldn't it, I mean it might actually act as a deterent.
