£10,200 is ridiculous. I had a friend in South Africa who owned one of these. It was called a kettle for a good reason - the cooling system was inadequate and it would regularly boil itself. It has a horrid bendy frame, isn't very fast at all and is generally a horrid excuse for a motorcycle. All this dewy eyed reminiscence of a two-wheeled classic is just nonsense, it is inferior in every respect to something like an ER5.
Good luck to anybody prepared to pay that amount purely to satisfy their own rose-tinted nostalgia.

I don't suppose many would make that sort of money, but if you want an 'as new' 30 year old bike you haven't got many to choose from. Reading the ad it looks like the guy was expecting a bit over £3k so he was happy !
It's the same with Z1 Kawasaki's. A nice one is about £5k, but the museum piece minters are more like £15k. But to be fair if you used all genuine new parts and top people it probably costs that £10k differential to get to that standard.
And I bet that £10k kettle will get more attention and compliments at bike meets than any new £10k machine...
