Now that i have to tolerate a combo van as a work hack i have noticed every other small box backed van tries to race me or sits right up the arse of the van trying to save fuel by getting in my slipstream (there is plenty of that) are these froggy biscuit tin drivers trying to proove somthing or what ? three different citroen frogleg shifters tried either egging me on or over took in a stupid place today as if to say "my vans better than yours i have a HDI engine you dont" well i cant be arsed with it as i can blow any van away on the bike so van racing is not my thing and anyway the combo handles like a pig covered in babyoil , but today had a quick go in a transit connect with the 115ps lump and it was quick very quick the bloke at the garage said it was quicker then the st170 focus from 30-70 cos of the tourqe (spell check please
) so thats what i want next then i can get onion van man mmmwaahahahahahah

... and anyway the combo handles like a pig covered in babyoil
Denny,
What does a pig covered in baby oil handle like, I can't say I've ever seen one - and I'm not sure I want to either ?
You need to get out on the bike more !
Bob
Errr..... Not sure Bob
but id guess the combo is pretty close
The tranny connect i drove yesterday was stoopidly fast handled pretty well too .
I too have a Corsa Combo; mind you, mine has got faster as it's aged, no doubt one day it will match our old Astramax at 112 MPH for about a mile before the engine cracks open....
So far I've had 105 out of it on the [location removed to protect my license].
A mate has a Combo 1.4 petrol; although it doesn't slow down on hills like mine, it only does about 97 flat out.
Agreed that some of the latest vans (esp. Merc Sprinters!!) go like poo from a garden implement. I WANT ONE!!
I think 'Pig-in-baby-oil' is a new addition to the latest Ann Summers catalogue: hang on while I search my daughter's bedroom for a copy...
Ian
Edit: Dohh!! OK, now I'll remove the road name....
