AJP Rebuild manual!!!

I wouldnt mind a copy, so I can get to know a little about the engine....not that i'll ever do a rebuild. (If ever I need a rebuild, i'd leave the actual job to Joolz when he branches out into AJP rebuilds

Yep, this is indeed a thread for optimists. I fully think my money has just been wasted. But I'll keep everyone informed.
There is a certain CD hanging around on Cerberas that shows I've had some experience of disseminating what I find to those daft enough to buy the car.
You may want to search long back though in the archives, as I was young then.

Thanks for the interest in the manual. I thought that I should just clear up a few points. Firstly, the manual is of a genuine engine rebuild. I decided to do a manual on how to rebuild the ajp because I was shocked to find out how much it was going to cost me at My local TVR dealers for the work. I thought that by helping other owners to rebuild their engines on a shoestring i could also recoup some of my own costs.(printing binding snapped crank etc) With this in mind I am disapointed by all the posts regarding copying the manual as this is against the spirit in which the manual was produced. I wonder how Indy's would feel if their Chips etc were copied after all the work they had done developing them?
I could have put them on ebay and let you all fight over them like the other photo copied manuals, but i thought 30 pounds was a good price for a perfect bound book on top quality paper.

Not wishing to disparage your valiant effort too much, but were it made clear in the advert that this was a home made manual created with no input from TVR, then I think the response would have been very different

But the reason I even suggested copying the 'manual' was that it bears a close resemblance to the genuine TVR manual, (a manual that unless you hold title and are recognised as the author you would have no rights to reproduce or distribute anything from it), I therefore assumed that it was a facsimile of selected pages from that volume.
I would agree that £30 is a very fair price for a 'haynes style' strip down and rebuild manual, although having said that Steve Heath's Chimaera and Griffith bible retails for less.
Perhaps you would be so good as to reproduce a hires a page from the manual so that we can see it, I'm sure there are a number of Cerbera owners, myself included, who would gladly send you £30 for your manual.

I'm confused...... I've bought one because I genuinely need it, and am currently rebuilding my 4.2 at the moment. I don't really care who wrote it so long as it works but I would like to know the background to it. Is it a trackcarsolutions product or not? I'm sorry, I just don't understand the need for all this cloak and dagger business - TVR won't be bothered as they've obviously moved on from the AJP8. And as far as copying goes, if the author is honest and open about how this was compiled and the references he used to get the technical information on the engine, then I will happily agree not to reproduce it. I sincerely hope this is a genuine product as it is something that is desperately needed if we are to keep these cars running for years to come. All of those people on here who wish to undertake work on their own cars should have access to this info, for the sake of the longevity of the Cerbera itself.

Hats off to the creator. Takes a lot of effort to knock these things up. Am looking forward to see how detailed it is. Bearing clearnces etc???

Not a problem at all for me.
It would be a problem for me though if you were selling products and then giving a link to my web site via your profile that then implied that I was involved with your product. I am sure this wont be an issue for anyone here though. Just my point of view.
