Small bike advice wanted
Discussion
I want to buy a 125 and am thinking of a Mito or maybe an RS125 or NSR.
I want some thing fun but also reliable as I will be doing about 250 miles a week for a few months. I’m small so being cramped is not a problem.
Good idea? Any advice? Anything to look out for when buying?

I SAID BIKE!!!!!!!! (sorry large hatred for peds)
I had a CB100N for a bit but that just got burned down along with the GSXR750 and Harley sportster883 in my garage (they weren’t mine) so I can ride manual and would never have anything else.
only got provisional licence so not allowed a blade and anyway i would probably land on my arse pretty quick on something that powerfull.

Auto or manual? If you want a very easy bike to ride, look at a Gilera DNA120 (or maybe even the 180), they're pretty cheap and you don't have to learn how to change gear etc, so great for just commuting. And they look pretty good IMO as well
Dont get a gilera Dna , very skittish on roundabouts and drain covers

If you are riding on a provisional then you'll be limited to what, 14bhp? So any interesting bike would need to be restricted. Aprilia RS125 and the earlier incarnation of the NSR were around 33bhp IIRC. What about a 125 Enduro?
If you're doing a reasonable mileage you could go for a Varadero 125. (A quick look on Autotrader showed only five in the country and they were 'optomistically' priced)

Yes an RS125 would have to be restricted but I thought most came out the factory with restrictors already fitted. Is this correct?
I’m quite short with very short legs so Enduro is not an option as I would fall off at every red light. What’s the seat height like on a Varadero? I have seen a 125 one outside my local bike shop and it looked quite big but have never sat on one.

250 miles a week on a 125
But if you must, and you want something reliable yet with sporting influence...
I give you ->
CBR 125
4 stroke engine will be more forgiving and unstressed, cheaper to run too.
Plenty available as they have been a top 3 seller since they were released.

it's a thailand-made CG125 in drag, it's a dog, don't buy one! ever!
I like the TZR but finding them is becoming a problem. The CBR is a bit out of my price range and Im not sure they will hold their value very well. Also the CBR has riser bars and a bit of a grandad riding position great for a first bike but I want a sports bike (in miniture).
Come on guys, Mito RS or NSR. Which is best for handeling/acceleration/not blowing up.
