Does anyone have any interesting voices downloaded on their Tom Tom that they may want to share?
I can start the ball rolling as I have a bloke called Roger Tourettes who swears & abuses you while giving directions (very funny for a while but can annoy after a period of time)
Anyone who wants a copy of this please e-mail me direct & anyone else who is willing to share let us know.
They are very easy to add to your system you just drag & drop into your voices file same as adding a POI into your map file.

Thanks
Howard.

Thanks

Yeah, they all get annoying after a while. I currently have John Cleese loaded and I'm starting to tire of his moaning a bit now. I still giggle at the beaver references though. I'm not giving that away as it only costs a few Euros from TomTom's site anyway.

Most of the voices are copyright so you are. And you're all talking about it on a public forum. Come on now, lets not get Ted into trouble eh?

Hi,
Many thanks, do you just download them and copy and paste them, where do you put the file?
Thanks,

pretty simple - download them - then save them to your unit (might be worth making a backup of the default voices)

I don't have a tom tom so don't know exactly how it works

Has anyone got this to work? The only "extras" I've downloaded to my TT1 is the speed camera database from pocketgps.com and my SD card is very nearly full.

Those voice files are all pretty large, do I need a bigger SD card if I want to add them to my TT1? If so, will just a standard one do (digital camera for example) and will I be able to transfer what is on my current 256 card to a bigger one with just a standard PC (no SD card reader)?

if you use a card reader, then you can guarantee the data transfered. I think they're only about £5 on ebay, etc. How would you do this w/o a card reader/writer? Does the TT offer this facility? I don't think it will 'upload' to a blank card. Could be wrong on this though!

I've found the TTO only allows 3 extra voices at anyone time even though I've a 1Mb card, most of the ebay CD voices I've tried are just impersonations, so dont expect the 'real' voice
