Trackday Lens?

OK I have an EOS 20D and want a lens for trackdays and the such. My options are either the 70-200 F/4L USM with a convertor 1.4x or 2x or going for the 100-400 F/4.5-5.6L IS USM.

Which would be the better, remembering the fact that sometimes I will have to be behind the fence.

Out of those 2 choices i'd go for the 100-400L without a second thought.

I'm rather happy with mine

I know this has been discussed before but I'm suprised world war 3 hasn't broken out.

If the 100-400 was faster I don't think you'd need to ask, but with the option of f2.8 the 70-210 + x1.4/x2 argument holds weight. Try them both, you might find once you've used both options the answer, for you, is obvious.

Same answer though...you need to try them yourself...only youknows what is right for you.

IMO go for the sigma 70-200 F2.8 instead of the canon 70-200F4L

100-400 looks good tho.
