Milky screen...

My windscreen has started developing a milky growth in the bottom nearside corner...does this mean ultimately that it will require replacing...any thoughts chaps....Paul.

it means it's started to delaminate - water getting into the plastic sheet between the two glass layers. You can try to seal the edge with nail varnish or something, but it's difficult to stop once it's started.

I taped over mine. If I should inadvertently have an accident with a large stone, I'll replace it then.

and they do, my S1 had the same problem, cerbs suffer as well, so dont feel left out.

worse in the winter then drys out in the summer!!! well mine does anyway

Mine doesn't but only because I put a new screen in. Before that it did really badly

How much is a new screen then....

Mine doesnt, but only because the nugget who had the S before me glued the rear view mirror on with super glue, the subsequent vibration from the mirror cracked the glass right down the centre.

Maybe you could try shooting the windscreen with a tungsten air pellet and claim of your windscreen cover.

N.B. Naturaly im kidding here, no one would seriously be able to shoot their pride and joy, never mind it beeing fraudulent!

...and to add to my list of niggles the garage has just rung to tell me it's failed its MOT on leaking rear shocks.
They suggested new Gaz shocks and I heard myself say 'yes go ahead'....now how do I explain that away to 'her who is usually obeyed'...
