Connecting digi camera to TV and Sandisk Photo Album
Discussion
Once again I launch a plea for advice from the all-knowing PH fraternity:
I recently bought a Nikon D50, my 1st ever digital camera. Now I've taken a few shots I'm keen to view them on TV (I haven't got a PC at home yet).
Firstly, I connected the D50 directly to the TV's 'video in' socket with the cable supplied and .. nothing. The instructions advised re-tuning the TV so I tried that and . . . nothing.
Next I bought a Sandisk Digital Photo Album (and a 256mb CF card to store images) and connected that to the TV as per the instructions, and . . . nothing!
Anyone had any problems with either of these methods - could it be that my TV is duff somehow?
Or, do I just bite the bullet and spend several £00 on a PC and DVD writer and use my DVD recorder to view pics on TV (I plan to do this at some point but wasn't planning it just yet).
Grateful for any advice.
Thanks all.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Re the sockets - there only appears to be 1 set of "Video in" sockets at the back, together with a set of audio in/out.
re setting the TV input to 'AV-in' - I've used the remote control to change to AV1, AV2 etc but to no avail. There doesn't appear to be an AV-in setting, also there are no switches etc at the back. (Also - I think the instruction manual disappeared when I moved house, so no help there)
As you'll be gathering by now I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to such matters, I've only recently binned my video recorder for example! Would it have anything to do with the age of the TV? Its only about 5 years old but things are moving so fast these days.
Would the best option be to take the camera or Sandisk thingy to the local PC World or Curry's etc and see if they can get it to work on a TV in store? That could be an expensive option though . .

Don't forget to make sure that the camera is still on.
Sound mad, but everytime my D70 is used to show pictures through the TV, the display has powered down by the time I have got the cables connected...
Check the inputs are OK on the TV & don't forget to press the play button on the D70...
