All Steel Blower TR4 engine
Discussion
Anyone else done this? Apart from Pete Cox in Racing?
I have a spare steel crank and mega head and I am seriously thinking of making a Mental TR4 89mm blown engine for racing and beating the Aston Db4 and MGBV8's in the Thoroughbred Race Championship.
I recon 320bhp must be there on moderate boost - that woul be about 37 bhp at 850 kg (aston are about 420+/ 1100kg) - but 4 is more nimble.
245+ from an Normally aspriated 2440cc engine now. But you can never have enough.

Good job he is on my speed deal! - If only I had his alloy body car as well! At least mine is fastest TR4 until he comes back out (been saying that for years) - will get him in the TR6 though this year.
Well if people can get 800bhp from a 2 litre cossy then it has to be possible!
Do it or otherwise you will regret not having tried it! I get the feeling I'm preaching to the converted though!
SCott
Blowers thinking M62 Eaton really good value second hand (low mileage or even new in US)!
