She's home at (long) last : )
Discussion
Well having bought at the end of November it has been the best part of 3 months to get her all sorted and on the road. Picked her up on Tuesday and this is now the view that I see when I open the front door
:
For those that were following my original thread about the chassis refurb I will try and update it with some figures etc and more details of exactly what was done. As is normal I suppose, it has cost me a fair bit more than I originally planned, mainly because once everything was out lots of small bits cropped up that it made sense to do. All in, I am still under £20K (just) for the car purchase and all the work, original target was more like £16k all in. However for a late 98 that I know has had any nasties (particularly the chassis which is now as new) sorted, it is still I think a good buy. Oh and for those urging me on another earlier thread to go decat as well as sports exhaust, you will be pleased to know it is done - and it's bloomin loud
Hope to see those that are going down at Charlie's tomorrow.

what in gods name are those two pokey up things at the rear centre of the roof? Aerials i assume? Did you fit those yourself?
Car kit installed which accounts for the lower one and other I assume is an aftermarket aerial for the stezza to try to improve radio reception. Both predate me and not something I would have done myself, mostly cd's or exhaust sounds for me when driving and the phone ones surely usually have a little one mounted up by the rear view mirror. Anyway don't find them too offensive and would probably make more of a mess trying to get them removed so will be staying for the meantime.
