Hi guys and gals, another note for your diary

August 24th ASDA Charity Track Day

No Bikes

Short track only

Possible £20 entry (still giving rides) but an open pit lane from 9:30 1:00 the 2:30 to Finish.

What do you think of the 20 quid????? problem?????

Bad news, less than 105DB checked and enforced

Last years DVD will be with me next week so will copy and send to the two Corvettes who came.

I was up for that this year providing I get the car back together by then but the DB limit will be a problem for me I think - not the £20

Hi Paul,

Having had such a great time last year we should be up for that, hopefully we can get a few more corvettes this year, last year done full tank of juice and had to replace front pads so the £20 is a nominal cost.

You state no bikes, are they still running the trucks they were a bigger problem, also will the track be a bit cleaner?

Look forward to seeing DVD

Sorry Paul, will probably be away that weekend. £20 seems excellent value to me.

Did this day in my Ult, was good fun but the rides where £5 for 1 lap.. I tended to do 2 laps as it seemed to be fairer... Definate Bra fitted day though, a TVR boy was not happy when he say his front valance.. even though they sent the road sweeper down every time we had a brake.... If you want you can even drive a Lorry road that year...

I've still got the standard exhaust system so noise shouldn't be a problem and I'm up for a go this year.

The tarmac isnt the best at Bruntingthorpe regardless of the sweepers so dont follow other cars espicially down the straight, last year cars had lots of chipped paint even chipped windowscreens. They are using the short track this year to keep speeds down

Also avoid the rubbery material in between the slabs of concrete we have seen it wrap around a members wheel

Hi Paul,

Can you confirm the date as the 24th August is a Thursday.

I enjoyed last year only as a spectator and a couple of passenger laps.

Err, I still managed 145 even on the short track ... And compared to some of the Vipers I've got hardly any power!
