Where to find sport classic wheels for 993

I had a sort of vague idea that I'd like a set of sport classic wheels for the 993.

Any brilliant suggestions as where I could find a set?

Had no luck searching online the usual specialists or ebay.

I was actually thinking of 17s to keep the ride quality, but I'll give those some thought.

Anyone know of those (the 18s) are real split rims or lookalikes? The 17s I've seen are certainly one piece.

Had 17" sport classics on my C2 993...looked great!! They were one piece as you say... the 18" wheels are 2 piece ( and prone to corrosion!) Got mine from 'Jasmine' by the way.

I think I'm definitely looking for 17s.

All this talk about winter tyres has me thinking I'll put winter tyres on my current cups and summers on the sport classics.

Dont be put off the 18" version. IMHO they look a whole lot better and with proper alignment the ride is really quite acceptable.

Porsche offered these as an option for the 993 through the Techquipment range, so I doubt they would have done this if they were unsuitable.

The 18" are split rims, and some of the refurbished ones have powder coated centres with polished outers which are much more durable.

Dont forget the steering rack brace if you go for the 18`s

Thanks. I won't exclude them but I am put off by the possible re-furb costs of the split rims and the ride quality question. There seems to be a fairly widely held view that 18s don't ride as well, though the one 993 I have driven with 18s was fine. Equally its suspension had been RUF'd, so ...

I do have the steering rack brace already.
