Hi there, just taken delivery of my first lotus (s2 111s). Whilst I'm over the moon with it and have no problems going over speedhumps I seem to have some loud scrapes when going down steep hills in car parks and more annoyingly my driveway. Going ups fine, it's the downward journey that I don't look forward to!

I'm guessing its the number plate thats taking the brunt & it sounds a lot worse than it is. I can't see any noticeable scrapes and make sure I go as slow as possible down such slopes but is there a particular angle I should attack them at to avoid these & avoid people looking at me everytime I go down a slope

Any advice most welcome!

Cheers

it will be the numberplate if you still have a standard size plate on....you can try going down at an angle - it helps a bit.

Sooner or later you will catch the 'ears' on a kerb or something ..(the bits of the front clam that stick out)....

My driveway is very steep. I literaly have 2-4 mm clearance. I have to ask my girlfriend to get out of the car before I attempt it. The only way to make it is to drive up and reverse down.

The clearance is exactly the same if you are coming or going.
