Yes, it's the M15! Must make a note to listen to my "motor industry source" closely in the future...

Wasn't going to bother to share yet another rumour but this seems to fit in with where this thread has gone to...
I recently heard from a senior motor industry source that there will be no M14 and that it will be launched as the m15!
Here starts the drip-feed of information leading up to launch then, eh Simon?!
Evo issue 090/April 2006, page 22:
"Noble Reworks and Renames M14
- more supercar-like M15 launches soon"
Quotes:
- M14 concept was becoming too soft (it wasn't a concept - they were taking orders?!)
- as M14 was going to be - bi-turbo V6 longitudinally mounted - 455bhp, 455lb ft (easy to remember then!)
- new bespoke gearbox (sequential please!
)
- new spaceframe chassis 57% stiffer then M12
- already much quicker around the track than the mighty M400 -
- styled differently to the M14 - new interior with high levels of standard equipment (tea-maker?!)
- aimed at F430 and Gallardo buyers
- pictures next month...

we,ve already had denial from Simon about this car
I'm sure I've seen from Simon a "not intended to be faster than the M400 on a track". Also I've sure I've seen 0-60 times quoted in 4.x seconds bracket. Its got 40 bhp morre than an M400 but must (?) weigh more with all that stuff in its cabin.
Finaly I'll be well p****d off if it is faster than an M400.
Mind you the sort of owner they are aiming at not as likely to track it?

The M15 will be unveiled for the first time next month. Those people who have placed orders on the M14 have been invited to the factory to see the car at the end of March. These invites were mailed on Thursday night, so - allowing for a handful being distributed via Noble dealers - all relevant customers should be in receipt of them by Monday/Tuesday.
FYI, there will be a rigidly enforced press embargo until Tuesday 4th April, after which there will be comprehensive information and good quality images in a broad spectrum of media. Other than the bare bones of info you'll see in the press now (as well as on www.noblecars.com from around 9.30am tomorrow) there will be no further news released. The M14 deposit-placers who attend the preview will not be allowed to snap the car and will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement terminating on 4th April. In order to maximise our press exposure, I'm afraid this is essential.
Whatever the M15's strengths are (and they are considerable) it is a supercar FOR THE ROAD and has a completely different remit to the M400. It has almost no commonality with the M12/400 (other than a more powerful version of the same engine) and that means a new chassis, gearbox, drivetrain configuration, steering, brakes, electrics etc. As evo mentioned, the car is hugely capable when taken to the limit (this line was from me, by the way - they've yet to test the car) but this is stritly incidental to its real purpose: that of a super-fast, practical, durable and comfortable road car. Regard it as a track car, and you will miss the point entirely.
Noble is coming of age, and nothing will demonstrate this more than the launch of the M15.

A Mercedes E55 AMG Kleeman pisses all over an M400 in straight line, so given the right track (something with lots of straight lines, say, err, Bruntingthorpe) it could well be quicker, but does that mean I'd want to take it on the track or even own one!
There are plenty of cars 'faster' than the M400, but few, if any, as capable.
All I have to now decide is do I keep the M400 when the M15 turns up...

Sounds good Simon. I'll be interested to see the site tomorrow.
BTW Paul, I've tracked every performance road going car I've owned for the past 10 years... just to find it's limits. Better to use wide run offs than ditches by the road! I'm sure the people with deposits know it's a road car, not a track car in development.

Sorry - I'm afraid we have to draw the line somewhere. Letting any customers see the car before the press is quite unusual by industry standards. We also have to consider the logistics of letting any more than a relatively small group of people see the car at one venue.
We quoted an estimated accel of 4.3 secs for the M14, but that was with an anticipated 400bhp/400lb ft of torque. Our intention has always been to offer more power/torque for the same guide price (£75k)as the M14 if possible, and we've achieved this.
