Yep, must be one of those sultan specials.

In Knightsbridge yesterday afternoon I saw a silver car (reg *X0) that turned out to be a Ferrari 456GT estate. Looked splendid.

Can anyone tell me something more about this? How many were made & by whom (Ferrari or aftermarket)?

If memory serves, there were five cars comissioned for the Sultan of Brunei. All were built by Pininfarina. All looked identical, and featured a wretched lime green interior. All also were GTAs I think, as opposed to GTs.

Although the Alfa 156 Sportwagon runs it a close second

yeah, he also has a black Mercedes 300SL (original Gullwing) with the plate 1A. I always drive past there and see try to see what's parked under the covers. Itsin Winnington Road, a massive house and they have obviously bought the massive house next door and knocked them into one (about a 200 foot frontage!). They have something to do with the Sultan of Brunei.

Yep that car is mentioned a lot on ferrari chat.com, originally a Sultanof Brunei vehicle which was sold into the real world in 2003 through DK Engineering in Watford (I think.)
