Done a Gooby !
Discussion
Well it was only a matter of time ... coming back across the Forest from Lymington last night in the Exige S2- hit a rabbit, going a little bit over 40, probably quite inocuous you would have thought but oh no ! Stopped to look at the damage: Front spoiler, numberplate etc all down the road, rabbit all over the front of the clam and in the grille...
Anyone know the rough cost of a genuine front spoiler/ any good aftermarket/ carbon ones ?

furry creatures are a pain in the ass....Ive had 2 complete new clams in 4 years thanks to them !
when you say spoiler - what car is it for?
www.eliseparts.com do them
if you need to cover up damage to the 'ears' (the wing bits that stick out on an S2) then Alvan Motors spliters are best...the only place that does them now are Sinclaires - about £400 painted/fitted...cover up most damage to the front clam and look good

There are 3 splitters available for the S2. The eliseparts one is fibreglass and bolts on the front - easy job in about 30 min. The reverie one is carbon fibre and has the same design. It does lower the front so you do tend to scrape things.
Looks like this:
This gives 40kg of front downforce at 100mph
The alternative is the alvan splitter (actually 2 seperate units one on each side) A bit more trouble installing it - mine are in the garage waiting for me to get the inspiration. They bond on + bolt on and mould to the front of the front clam.
Not a great pic but:
You can just see that it extends higher, but it does not lower the front ride height, so less likely to snag. I am running low ride heights, hence the change.

That's a bit off don't you think - considering how awful Gooby felt. Then maybe that's just me.
