I am currently interested in buying a Diablo and noticed alot of people trying to sell them with mileage around the 25k mark...is there a reason for this?

Clocking? Perhaps owners too scared to drive their beasts properly? Not forgetting that people are like sheep and want to keep the mileage within the 'common' range for their particular car for fear of mega depreciation perhaps?

Personally, I would not care too much about the mileage patterns, but rather look for consistent and loving maintainence from whichever owners its had.

Oh, and considering you are looking to buy. A clean PPI, a smooth gearbox, no clutch slippage, and high/uniform compression across all cylinders is going to keep some of the major bills away. Mileage might not necessarily be the dictating factor when it comes down to these big ticket items.

Good luck

When is a motor rebuild commonly required and at what point does it become a Money Pit?

I'm coming out of an Esprit and am getting to the age where maintaining a Fetal Position in order to fit into the car isn't alot of fun.
