Tyres n Scrape!

What a weekend!!

Got up saturday, took the roof off ready for a drive then couldnt move! Got out to see if something was under the wheels - no some f'cker had stabbed 3 tyres!

Looked round and all the cars on our road were done!! Some 12+ cars!

Called green flag out who arrived an hour later than quoted and proceded to scrape his van down the back wing of my car!!

Anyone know of a good bodyshop near to or in South West London?

Last time it went off to Kingscourt Coachworks, but a bit far away for me.

Good luck with the bodywork, Tower View (NW London) do body work but I have no experiance of them with bodywork

Easy answer, there's a load of nutters walking around, my freind works on this "care in the community" programme & assures me that he's got at least six schizophrenic people he's working with, who if they don't take their medication, will almost certainly kill somebody.

I'd say your quite lucky, you've found one with a tyre fettish as opposed to an eye fettish

I've seen this happen where I used to work too. I was told it was actually one of the local mobile tyre fitters paying yobs to go round slashing tyres.

I'm not saying this is the case for sure, just what I've heard.

Sorry to hear about your nightmare!

Presumably you'll be claiming against the van that scraped your car. If you send an email to PHer anniesdad ([e-mail]) explaining the situation, he should be able to help. I had a neighbour reverse into my Chim, and within a few minutes of asking for Steve's help, he had an admission of liability from the guilty party, my car booked into Kingscourt for repairs, and a spangly new Boxter waiting for me whilst mine was away.

The scary thing is that someone with a low enough IQ to think that slashing tyres is clever is walking around with a knife.
Sorry to hear about your car. Had a similar thing where I used to live. One tyre stabbed on every car up the street. Fortunately it was a company car so didn't have to shop around just got it done. £160 for one tyre! probably a weeks wages for loser. I enjoyed paying for it and claiming it back on expenses and benefited from better tread depth, while the loser was probably too pissed to remember doing it!
