I am currently transferring my rally video collection from VHS to DVD, and have discovered some rallycross that was broadcast on grandstand in the late 80's. trouble is i cannot work out the exact year of each broadcast. my guess is its 1986 and 1987, but it could be 1987 and 1988.

details are:

broadcast one features seppo nittimaki in a delta s4 (720 hp)!!!, johnathan palmer in a john welch xtrac escort, will gollop in blue and red 6r4, there was also a white 205 t16, but can't remember the guy that drove it.

broadcast two; tiff needell silkolene 6r4 and palmer again in an rs200

are there any rallycross people who can help me pinpoint the exact date. i think they are both the rallycorss gp at brands

do you need any other info?

The Tiff Needell one is the Brands Rallycross GP in 1988 - I was there and I still have it on video from Grandstand a couple of weeks later. A brilliant event. Look out for the Alrid Martinsen BMW M3 - it looked like a normal M3, but had a 750bhp IMSA engine and 4WD...

The other year, with the Nittymaki in the S4, must be '87.

Any chance of making the DVD's available once you've done this, always looking for some original motorsport to add to my collection!!
