Headlight removal.

Hi, am I correct in thinking that removing the headligts is a case of removing the seal and taking them out front ways. I can't see another way or am I being daft.

What do you wan to do to them? IIRC you can take the headlight out of the back from the recess behind the lights, although I could be wrong. But whichever way I did accidentlly popout one light and managed to puti it back in without removing the cowling.

As above , it depends what you need to remove, pretty much everything barr bulb replacement requires the whole pod to be removed.

You have to remove the old sealent and undo a support bracket via the wheelarch access point.

Then heave, wobble, rotate, until it comes out.
First one I did , I thought it would never fit through the hole, but it does, think child birth..........

Can you just remove the perspex covers by cutting through the sealant?

Its just that I would like to clean inside that area!

Sorry , no thats not possible, the fairings are actually screwed to the pod itself.

Seasider , what driving lamps have you got fitted?

I presume you mean main beam lamps?

They are standard Valeo (newish)

Although now i have them and the 60w Mains in the pod :dazzlesmilie:
