What's a 1997R 993 C4S worth?

I've been privately offered an immaculate 97R C4S in Polar silver with black leather and 60k on the clock for £37K. Seems heavy. Views?

parkers.co.uk says (albeit with average higher, 80k mileage): Franchised £28320, Independent £27130, Private £25465, so £37k does sound steep. I was always told 'anything's only worth what someone will pay for it'...

Two years back I paid 38K from a dealer for a 96N minter with 46k miles on the clock, however they gave me a years warranty, a major service and coughed for a new clutch and a new A/C condensor into the bargain.

Whilst I would be delighted to hear prices are bouyant, it does sound a bit heavy for a private sale unless it has a spotless history, a brand new new clutch, 4 new tyres, no stone chips and non leaky aircon.

Good luck as a big inspection beckons methinks...

I would have thought £33k ish.
I don't think Parkers can be used as a reference. They struggle to reflect mainstream car values let alone a Porsche.

I have been tracking these for a while. There are very few on the market and the some late model 993 C4S's are going for over £40k. Surely this is just a supply issue for now? 993 C2S for around £28-30k, C4S £35k max? Still fancy a C2S, Arena Red, Manual, Turbo spoiler, turbo cups, tan leather. The joy of waiting . Besides, in 2 years they will be well below £30k....

As always its down to its condition. If its immaculate, and because its black then £34-35k, then work your way down for any repairs,
remember they do have the Turbo brakes and full leather interior

I've been tracking prices for the last 4 years (insurance valuation reasons) and have retained records (sad but true)...

Both the 2S and 4S have been about mid-to late thirties with some just over 40k for around 4 years, despite their getting older. Of course, some will just get scruffier over time and the price may reflect this, countered of course by demand to minimise the price slip. And this is before the cars get scruffy enough to restore. The 356 and other models went through this stage - they all do, expect I guess the more mass-produced later (996 and on) models.
