I thinking of having my car chipped to remove flat spots and increase power slightly. Oh it's a 2003 BMW Z4 3.0.

Superchip is the only company I can consider although I realise that others may be better. I need someone local in the Aberdeen area, can't justify driving down south just for a chip.

Does anyone have experiance of fitting the chip emap espcially to a 3.0 engine. Especially looking for driving differences, fuel consumption and of course insurance increases

Graeme

No point in remap/Schip. Supercharger is the only way. ASA Sk Plus from www.ca-at.co.uk

Yeah I know, that is the long term solution - ess supercharger. The problem is it's 10x more expensive and that's without fitting an intercooler I am just looking for a short term helping hand until I can get £3000 together and justify it

the only chip i ever did on a petrol car was a 911, it was supposed to give me 20+bhp plus a sharper throttle response, i have to be honest i couldn't feel a damn thing for my £300, maybe someone has a better experience with bmw's.

Spoke to Mike at DMS who was very helpful. Their remap sounds very good, upto 24bhp more and the same in torque. Problem is £595 + VAT Will maybe need to save up first, but it is my preferred solution over a superchip. Taking the car to around 255bhp would be perfect.

The do work at the Porsche garage in Aberdeen every second week, so no problem with logistics
