I remember quite a few were interested, and now the 5.5litre stroker kits are in stock!

So if its about time you gave your cerbie a power-hike and a fresh clean rebuild, then crafts new stroker kits are the dogs danglies

In stock and turnaround time of 3 weeks, and you get a full warranty with the job

I said a while back I'll do everything I can for the cerbie community, so here you go!

And an awesome price too!
Time to treat the good old-goat some muscle and TLC

Oh nearly forgot:

EN40B crankshaft - precision machined and balanced
Carrillo Forged Rods
JE Forged Pistons

Power hike is estimated at 550hp and over a 100lb/ft+ torque increase!!!!!

Why haven't they wedged the crank?

WOW Nice,

Is this just for 4.5's or can 4.2's be done too?

and HOW MUCH????

If they did all eight cylinders, you could have 6.5 litres

agree that crank looks a little short on cylinders

Pair'o'conrods per journal......

That crank must've been expensive to make. Have they actually built and run an engine using these parts?

Hmm very nice to have but so much to consider here. Whether it would stop the free revving nature of the engine. What you'd need to do to a head that already doesn't breathe very well. Although I wonder if this'd give the car the V8 sound its always needed?

I think 550bhp is very optimistic, how did you come upon that figure?

well all things being equal just a straight 22% extra hp from teh cc will give over 500bhp on a red rose spec engine .. we know they have a gifted head guy who's bound to be able to find the best flow from the heads..

also don't forget that adding stroke increases torque over and above the bare capacity increase as the leverage on the crankpins is greater, and hp is just torque actions and how many times you produce it (ie revs) so if you can make it rev like a std car or better then the bhp figure rockets ..

so it's very possible that 550bhp is on the cards imo

the other great thing is I spoke to Dave on the phone yeterday and he's a lovely bloke

Surely this is how the capacity increase gives you extra power i.e. it is the only direct effect, it isn't "over and above".

And if you look closely at the crank you'll spot the lightening that's been done to the rod journals. It's either been hollowed through the pins or fitted with blanking plugs because it's been cross drilled I can't quite tell from the pic.

I'm a bit confused as to the potential output, as

SXS in another thread said:

Currently they are building the 550hp supercharged tuscan, and a 600bhp supercharged cerbera 5.5.
which seems a small increase for a supercharger if 550 is possible without? Saying that 600 is a big number and could be achieved using less revs without over stressing components?
Whatever though, it seems that TVRCRaft are leading the way in TVR engine developments.

Luddite question - what does this term mean please Peter and why would it be necessary?

Thanks.

Perhaps a difference between a "bored" and a "stroked" engine ?

Typhon is off . . . new Cerb is just drawings . . . Do you mean 'they' as in 3rd party?

JESUS CHRIST - how much? - that it is a billet crank? - has to be 3k at least for that alone? Piston 150 - 200 each and rods 200+ each Eeek - does it need top hatting though like Bosscerbs? An yes has it benn run up yet?

ASH - does this mean yours is 5.5 not 6.0 then?

"They" as in TVR Craft / Autocraft.

And that's setting aside the necessary drive train upgrades too ....

Surely that power would be made if it could rev and still fill the cylinders to the same efficiency as a 4.5 which would be very hard . Just fitting the long stroke crank would make little difference to the horsepower though there should be a big jump in torque .

Adding a litre displacement would make a difference in hp. Maybe it wouldn't jump to 7.5k that fast but it will get there . . . and djees do you need way more than just a crankshaft. :said Dink who used to work Kreidlers at 15:
