on a 350T!!

Chrystal topaz, blue and portland(i think, light grey anyway) inside,5700 miles etc etc..

now the questions, the front is quite low, looks great but could be a bit of a nuisance,so are the spring platforms adjustable on these as they are on my tusc?
on another thread someone mentions a tamora on its bump stops, but i wouldn't have thought this 350 would have sagged at 5700 miles, what do you think?

The front tyres are 225/35 which again look great but are pretty thin,do 225/40's clear ok?

Also how much is it likely to cost me for a sports exhaust?

cheers mike.

Congratulations. I think Crystal Topaz is one of the better colours.

With regards to ground clearance, the front is low but I have not scraped a single speed bump and I live in an area of London surrounded by them.

Can't help on the tyres and have had no issues with the standard Eagle F1's.

Mike,

I doubt there's anything wrong with the suspension unless it's been abused. The standard T350 has 100mm ground clearance, but several folks I know have had this raised an extra 15mm by dealers at routine service (some charged 150GBP for this). I understand this is as much the dealers can do without more fundamental changes.

My T350C is standard height with 225/35s front (also standard) and I have caught the front a couple of times. You just have to be very slow over speed bumbs or avoid the worst ones if you can.

Darren

I've supplied front shocks for a T350 that were leaking, never mind sagging.

Had our's raised 15mm when purchased new. No problems if bumps taken very slowly.

Nice colour. Hope you have as much fun as we do

You can just make out in this photo of two T350Cs, the effect of raising the front ride height by 15mm (Rolex Blue car on left) compared to my T350C on the right, which is unchanged.

Well I think I can see a difference, besides it's a good excuse to get a photo up of two T350Cs!

Darren

No. Could'nt get it in my drive - big road camber caused nasty scrape on the demonstrator we borrowed

well done Mike!

I pick my T350C up on Sunday, can't wait.

Not sure about the clearance on mine but I like your thinking, might look into it myself.

Was a bit worried about speed bumps as the road to my house is littered with them.

One route has some terrible ones which are just a curved lump of tarmac across the entire road (about 3 feet deep and 8 inches high at the centre) and it's like driving over half buried pipe causing the contents of my current Audi's boot to bounce, even when taken slowly. They look like an afterthough and are like a larger version of this:

www.pixelhead.com/weblog/images/speed_bump.jpg

(bit concerned about these)

A a slightly longer route has what are basically raised areas in brick with a slight ramp up and another down. Similar to this:

www.fiveroadsforum.org/inprogress/hastingsbump.jpg

(this could be my new route home)

Anyone have any good/bad experiences of either of these type of speed bumps or could recommend which would be the best to risk. I am picking my car up tomorrow and would hate to hear that scraping sound so soon.

Cheers

The second bump shown should not be a problem. My estate has a number of speed 'tables' with much steeper ramps than the one in that picture.

I find if you use a not straight angle you can get up most of these, you look like a muppet but I am yet to be defeated by many. I did have my car raised by 2cm mind.

I cracked the front spoiler within a week after taking delivery of my Tamora after going over one of those bumps that is only about a metre wide so you think you can pass with a wheel on each side of it, not in a TVR !!!

Fortunately got it sorted by the factory for free at the 1000 miles service...

I think speed bumps are a menace anyway. It seems that many people have damaged their cars on them. I always take them carefully but am constantly hounded in my rear view mirror by spotty youth's in souped up Nova's or irritated mothers in 4x4s who stick about an inch behind me only to speed off the minute I turn off.

They do not slow down anyone who does not own a low car.

As an example I was taking my son for a walk last weekend on our quiet residential estate when a BMW X5 came tearing around a bend as we crossed the road, it flew past us, just!, only to find they were in a cul de sac. They then proceeded to turn round (in my drive) and shoot out again regardless of the speed bumps, us, or two older kids on bikes who were coming in the opposite direction.

There must be a better method of traffic calming, one which works and doesn't damage peoples cars.Perhaps insisting that drivers have a brain, and know how to use it, could be a start.

Cheers - Rippers

Mike, would this be the one at Red Line racing in Poole nr. Otley?

Looked at this one a couple of times myself.
Can I ask, what made you swap the Tuscan?
