Colour for new 997 TT
Discussion
So many of you (us?) will have to spec 997 TTs without seeing a physical car - speccing starts in a couple of months, physical cars displayed from 24 June. The big question is - what colour is it going to look best in?
Too many 996 TTs are Arctic Silver - boring. However, I saw a newly released set of photos yesterday at my OPC which had the car in arctic silver - and it does look great - and they have chosen that for a reason. Silver allows all the scoops and spoilers to be seen, where black doesn't. However, I love Seal and Basalt.
Seal, Basalt or Arctic?

dull dull dull dull dull.
c'mon guys, its a porsche turbo for God's sake! someone please spec one in guards red. or turquoise blue. even midnight blue would be ok. seal, basalt or actic!?? saints preserve us!!!
Arctic silver or a metallic grey between Seal and Arctic - Atlas is my fave with a tan and silver interior.
The silvers with a hint of blue in them don't work in my opinion. Equally important is the colour of the leather. My 996TT is basalt black with black leather and it's just too sombre. I prefer the lighter interior in a small cabin car - feels a bit classier too, less boy racer.

its funny, iv had cream leather, dark blue leather and black and iv always thought the black was the classiest. The cream was a joke i only had to wear dark jeans on a warm day and id have blue on my seats.

Do Porsche not have the ability, or give you the option, of having the car 'any' colour ?
The Lambo grey colour would look amazing.
The colour to sample option means your wish is their command. For about £2000.
Well. I think if I were ordering a 100k car, I would definately be taking this option. I mean, you don't want to be seen in the same as everyone else do you.
Plus, the Turbo is a car you can keep a long, long, time & therefore you spec the car for YOU, not for residuals sake.
Not sure about the orange on a TT, but think it would be spot on for a GT3. Closely followed by white.
