I need to find somewhere to refurbish some magnesium wheels and am finding it pretty difficult finding anywhere, I know some of the Porsche speedlines were mag so I was hoping/wondering if anyone knew of anywhere?
Cheers
Mike

Just edited the title so that it's less cryptic (ie more likely to get a response)

Diamond Styling.

Google them, but they're meant to be the best and can handle mags.

Just called them, sounds like they know what they are doing, the chap explained all the process and said that it takes quite a long time to get a good finish and do a good job hence the £117.50 a wheel I guess its worth getting them done properly though.

ps cheers for editing the title Daz!

Yes, they're not cheap but you can't chance it with mags or the paint will peel off or they could go porous. Cheaper than new mags as well. Rgds

Indeed that is exactly my thinking, spoke to one company who said, 'we cant guarantee what the wheels will end up like' and im not keen on sending them 2.5k's worth of wheels!!

Diamond styling have an excellent reputation on the Porsche Fuchs wheels , mine were done by them 3 years ago, they did a great job but very very expensive. At the time they had all sorts of later wheels in, I would be confident of their work although £117 sound good value IMHO, the fuchs wheels are now approx £250 each to refurbish!

They have recently moved to Sevenoaks, I was there last week- bigger premises

They have run the business since 1981 and are a low volume specialist. They are doing my OZ wheels (after I had them done elswhere which ended in an out of court settlement) and they looked stunning.

As other have said not the cheapest but IMHO you get what you pay for in this case

Vic, I'm pretty sure that you cannot anodise magnesium.

As Vic has 993 GT2's coming out of his ears the statement 3 piece mags probably refers to the GT2 wheels, which have the normal ally outer rims. Mag centre obviously painted.

I just rang him. He won't do Speedline 3 piece split rims from a 993 RS. Doesn't do polishing or anodysing either.

Sorry to dig out this thread....

Need to refurb the mag wheels on my Diablo, and Diamond Styling are just down the road from me... Is their work worth more than double what I've been quoted from somewhere else?
