Electrical Shennanigans

I have been experiencing some electrical gremlins in the Griff recently and was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

It seemed to start a month or so ago after I took the car into the garage to have the buttons/warning lights assembly re-glued to the dashboard.
I noticed that the immobiliser was occassionally flashing the indicators as I was driving along. "Must've knocked the blipper or something" I thought, and ignored it, until a few days later the blipper seemed to fail completely and refused to open the car.
Back I go to tmy friendly Spanner who puts a new battery in the blipper and Robert was once again my mothers brother.
Everything continued fine for a week or so, but the flashing indicators have re-materialised .
I am thinking that this is most likely an earthing problem, which is further evidenced by a reluctance of my hand-brake lights to light up, and severely flickery instrument lights.

A quick read of the bible points to the two earth point under the consul, but I thought I would check on here first to see if anyone has any experience/suggestions.

If the indicator light is intermittently coming on or glowing to be more exact, almost certainly the earth under the rad at the front. Pages 254/255. It could also be the immobilser/alarm playing up as well as these directly control the indicators as well.

Hi Steve, thanks for the quick response.

It's not so much that the indicators are glowing, rather they are doing the double-flash thing as the do when the plippler is plipped (although the door solenoids don't seem to be activating)

In which case, possibly an alarm fault as this does drive the indicators directly.

Well, after taking the car out for a few longer runs, this problem seems to have disappeared.

I'm now wondering if it could have been a drop in charge on the battery or something (tho' the guage showed normal amps) or perhspas some moisture somewhere that has been erradicated by a good long blat.
