Hi all,
Not sure if this has been covered before - My insurance company (Privilege) is insisting that I fit a tracker to the Exige S I'm getting - Any recommendations on which package to go for ie Monitor, Horizon, Echo - Obviously Echo is the best but is it worth the extra cash? - They won't accept Retrieve by the way.

Also, they told me that if I had a 240R not only would I not need a tracker but my premium would be £200 less!!!!!! - How can this be???????

Cheers,
Joe

I would look for another insurer to be honest. There are so many options out there I personally don't think the cost is worth it. Makes your premium WAY more expensive in reality and frankly if my Lotus was every nicked I'd prefer not to see it again.

It would be like getting an old girlfriend back after she'd been sleeping with another bloke!

I'd be inclined to agree. Lots of insurers asked me to get a tracker for my Elise but in the end it was cheaper to insure it somewhere that didn't require one. If someone has been ragging it round and thraping it I don't want to have it back - it will never be 100% again.

I looked at Tesco who required a tracker to insure and the saving was less than the subscription, never mind installation costs.
