3.9 with performance cam - Lumpy idle - cam or injectors

Performance cam and big valve ported head fitted by well known specialist in 1999. Car done 6K miles since. Lumpy idle. Steppa motor showing as a fault and will be replaced - but suspect it won't cure this lumpiness. Hotwire airflow meter fine.

Don't know much about Hotwire, but the injectors may benefit from a clean / check if they've done 50K miles - that's an awful lot of fuel. Without knowing more about the engine spec., difficult to say: Who did the work, what spec cam does it have? Was it properly set up on a rolling road or engine dyno afterwards? How was the fuelling adjusted? How are the emissions?


Edited to add: just read one of your earlier posts re: Wedge / RT. Richard has a very good reputation, what he doesn't know about Wedges is not worth knowing. Don't think he had a rolling road though, so I wonder how it was set-up?
