WARNING CONTAINS LOTS OF PICS

Ashbourne battoning down the hatches

Getting ready for the start

5 mins after the start

Wrong place, wrong time

So near and yet so far

Birds eye view

Time out

Poor picture, but this guy took a swing and ended up cutting a lads face

The ball takes to the road

Feel sorry for this persons house...

Quick... run away

Really like that last picture.

(being petty though, could it not benefit from a crop of the top, and also a slight straighten )

Hold on a sec, great pics and all, but WTF is going on? Is it a fight or something? Why did the town batton itself down? What were kids doing there? It nearly looks like Dublin last Saturday!

Is whats going on a good thing or a bad thing?

Nope, you've lost me there Mrs F. Might have been fun on the day but they don't make it as photos for me.

I'd pick this one, get both the flags in and spot colour those instead of the people:

They weren't supposed to be a work of art, a bit difficult when you are in the midst of things to get anything other than snapshots

Hehe.

I guess the game probably worked worked more effectively when the population was smaller ...

Unless of course the history is similar to that of Dwile Flonking which apparently generated a lot of history at the time it was invented.

Just browsing the shots - you could turn some of them into a 'Where's Wally'type of series. Spot the person without a camera would be a place to start.

Hats off to you though Mrs. F. Some of the people you were close to when taking the shots were probably better met in bright sunshine in a crowd than they would be if met in a dark lane at night. I guess the game will attract all sorts.

Thats so odd. I was in that Green man pub not a couple of months ago! Had a wee wander all over that place. Only recognized it because of the big iron thing over the road.
