Cant imagine giving up a wedge again,done it b4 and hope never to do it again,on the upside you know it's gone to a good home and you wil be able to track progress and whereabouts,also more money to spend on the beast..

Thanks mate, I'll look after her, but for some reason I think it's a 'him', my old S was a her, but I may change the gender.

I daresay the roof will never be on, I find they don't run correctly with the roof on.

No doubt I will have oodles of questions for all 'us' wedgers. My plan is to give the car a good polish/mop first of all to see how it comes up. However, I might respray it. Numbnuts has a room in his garage with extractor fans where we sprayed the front end of the s, so for £100 or so in materials, a couple of days preparing it followed by a morning with a spray gun it may be the way ahead.... I quite fancy spraying it black...but that means the engine bay as well....hmm

Whilst up at daves place, he will MOT it, and hopefully it will only need minor things...lets have our fingers crossed for the chassis. I can tell now that the engine / box and clutch are fine....brakes are crap, but as you said, they are all like that.

Then, full service and decoke, bit of a tune up by Dave, and onto the rollers for a bhp figure and we're off a wedging.

I'll take pictures of what we do, it'll provide some laughs no doubt.

Having never driven a wedge before, I must say it's a lot smoother than the S, maybe because that's because I had rock hard shocks on it, but it sits on the motorway in a calmer manner, I found I was going a lot faster than I thought I was.

I think I read on your pages Mike, that TVR lost money on wedges due to the fact they took so long to build, is that the case?

You can borrow my Nomex flame suite anytime!! I had a S2 and thought it was a lovely car, and pretty with it, got fed up of the carpet catching on the accelerator pedal though! ;-) and traded it in for a proper dark side wedge.
