help removing the radiator!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a hole in my radiator and need to remove it?? disconnected everything now the radiator is loose in the engine bay. radiator seems to wide to lift out?? it is a griffith 500 can ANYONE HELP ME??????????

Havent had mine out for a while but remember it being a tight one so put protective cloth everywhere.

I think and i hope someone else can confirm that taking teh Expansion bottle out if you have one helps and also lifting teh bottom up and out first is the way, just watch teh tags each end where the bolts go through are, theya re what can catch teh body work.

Like i say it was quite a while since i done my so hopefully someone else can confirm/add to.

Yep, remove exp tank, take fans off, cowls also if you have them, move the siren out of the way and lift bottom out first. I think thats right, i have done it 4 times in a year, you would think i would be sure !

Yep, David is right, lift bottom out first, then tilt the radiator and you can carefully lift it out.

radiator is out, dont belive it will go back in. to get radiator out had to take something out of front wing drivers side.round with to pipes on it dont now what it is????????????????

Is one side going to the AFM and the other side to airfilter ?? Ifo so, dunno what it is, mine has it, but not for long, I'm going to fit new silicone pipe and take out that "thingy".

We upgraded to a Radtec alley rad when the original sprung a leak. It's a bit bigger than the original and I had to put it in to line up the holes on the lugs on each side as it doesn't come predrilled, take it back out to drill and then back in again (about 3 times) - real bitch of a job. Car built around the rad I think.
