Has anyone changed from a Mark 1 Tuscan to a late T350c and regretted the move? Today I have finally said goodbye to my trusty Tusc having put just over 20k on it since new and pick up the nearly new T350 on friday. I'm sitting here wondering if I,ve done the right thing although I know handling should be a big improvement it feels like a sad day.

I know EXACTLY what your thinking Alan, i parted with my old 2000 Tuscan yesterday after owning it for nearly 3 years, I bought a Tamora last October and have had both cars sat in the garage the words "on beans and toast" spring to mind
They are completely different cars IMO both have good points over the other, only you will be able to make your mind up, some time the Tamora feels so boring in comparison, but i have found that this opinion is mainly when blasting about on my own, when i`m with other Tivs on runs a tend to enjoy it more the Tamora more than holds it own against its so called bigger brothers. Coming form a sleeved/modded exhaust Tuscan it would take something special in the sound department to out do that...Que a Tamora with super sports exhaust, what a sound, truly superb a deep bassey sound with better quality pops and bangs, any way just do what i`m doing, and give the T350/Tamora a fair crack at converting me, which to be honest it might just do when i have another 25bhp

OK, I had a 2001 Tuscan 4l and test drove a T350 for a weekend (500 miles). The T350 was a nice car to drive with a reasonable amount of grunt. You needed to thrash it more to get it to get up and go which made it seem harder work. The difference in torque from the 3.6l and 4.0l is very noticeable.

The handling was about the same (but I had had quite a lot of work done on the Tuscan). The Tuscan scared me which was part of the attraction. IMO the Tuscan looks the best TVR, but looks are not everything. The T350 is quite easy to drive and so not scary.

The Sagaris is a better car by far and the extra torque make the drive so much better. It is a totally usable car.

I have never owned a tuscan but have test drove 6 of them when I was on the hunt for one. I now own a T350T with a red rose engine conversion and I think that the 350 has more grip looks much better and is just as fast as a tuscan!

Hi Alan
Yes I had the MK1 Tuscan loved it never had any problems. Then we decided to change to the T350c the wife liked the colour took it for a test drive and we purchased the T350c this was in late October 04. got it home and had the same thoughts as you just was not right. I could not sit straight in the car had it modified to add spacers still no good. Wife complained that on a long journey there was too much vibration I had to add strips of felt to the sides of the seats to stop the squeaking. We were just was not happy with the purchase. We liked the Tuscan it had more room and a bigger boot. So in November 1 Month later, I placed an order for the Tuscan Mk2S from Racing Green and they took the T350C. The New MK2S Tuscan was delivered in March 05. I lost a little in the trade but not as bad as it could have been. We could not live with the T350 and I would not be without the Tuscan. I hope your decision won’t be costly. Good luck
Cheers Dave
