To all those persons involved in the fixed penalty units of our various police forces, to all the employees of SERCO who maintain our GATSO cameras, to all the scientists who devote their skills to the design of these devices for personal gain, to all the traffic wardens, all the employees in the highways departments in all the councils in the land who waste our money painting silly designs on our roads, to all the people who drive at 35 in a 50mph zone in good conditions, all the people who ALWAYS drive in the middle lane on motorways, those who use fog lights when it's not foggy, the bloke in the green Mazda MX-5 who followed me all the way out of London to Maidenhead on the M4 in the pissing rain 20 feet from my rear bumper (can't you take a hint?), the yellow van driver who drove into the back of my three week old M3 convertible when I was stopped at a red traffic light because he was on the phone, and especially to all the politicians who seem to have no concept of the limits to which technology should be used to control behaviour...

- I wish you a miserable christmas and an unhappy new year. I hope you choke on a turkey bone and get food poisoning. Most of all I hope that a miracle happens and your funding gets withdrawn and you get made redundant!

Why not have a new start in 2003 and become a development worker in a third world country far away from Europe?
