Just a quick q - I think the 924S came to the UK in sept 1986 yet mine is registered in march 1986 what does this mean?

It depends, could have been ragged round everywhere by journo's or could have just been sat in a showroom for public viewing prior to it's official launch. If you're desperate to know then do a bit of research into your P&J's history.
