Hi everyone.

I have just reverted my profile to the original one I had.

On the advice of Carzee, I have put some information on that profile which gives some guidelines to those who want to know how they can approach responses to posts. I do not wish to become a protected species through regulation but I think there needs to be some sort of guidance for the dignity of all those involved as to where I draw the line.

I would also like to say that I have also benefitted from reading posts from other contributers. The forum is a wealth of information on all sorts of topics and situations which I have not had too much experience in dealing with. I thank you all for sharing these with the rest of us.

regards
madcop.

Yep, says it all. We call it 'brown-nosing' here in London

Nice to see you made it back Steve. Oh, and the nice man from Bosch came along and fixed our washing machine so there's no need for you to call now

Hi Madcop,
Just read all the contents of THE THREAD, wow where was i when all this was going on, I must admit I spend longer reading threads than posting, but am so glad that you have decided to come back, your posts are excellent value and I really hope that matters in your 'real life' come good.
To close, reading your threads make me even more law abiding every time I read them, this year I have stopped driving the morning after drinking and now that I drive 120 mile round trip to work, that is tiring enough, I feel I cannot even risk one drink anymore.
Welcome back and long may you stay with us, thanks.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, RESPECT to you.
Chris
PS RESPECT to CARZEE for starting this thread and also for persuading you to come back. CK500

Madcop

As a new member I had read a few of your posts before you left and always considered them well meaning and informative, as well as interesting.

Since I heard of your departure and subsequent return I have spent a good few hours reading all the threads you started and responded to and as a result would like to say a big thank you for your efforts which is obviously something everyone else here, especially seasoned members, also appreciate.

I think it can be hard for newer members to get "a feel" for what the site, and especially the forums, is (are?) about, I hope I have got it right, but either way feel your contribution on a site such as this should be seen for what it is, and I believe that it is a constructive voice of reason, fact, responsibility, respect and knowledge combined with a love of motoring.

I wish you and yours the very best for Christmas and for 2003, as I do all PH'ers.

I missed all this and have just gone back and read it all. I do not blame you for reconsidering you contributions in the light of some people's attitudes, but am absolutely delighted you have returned. There are a few contributors whose presence elevates PH to the level it has reached, and you are at the top end of this list. Welcome back and to coin an underused phrase "Yuletide Felicitations"
