You don't need a rally licence to compete in rallycross, a non-race national 'B' is all you need. If you go for a rally licence you will have to do a BARS test, whereas the non-race does not require a test.

I'd also look at www.rallycrosssuperseries.com , an alternative to the BRDA/BRTDA ch'ship.

Oi_Oi- cant figure out how to pm on this forum lol, whats the difference between the super series and BRDA? just a different league?
TBH ive got some track experience but never done any racing some im a bit in the black here as to whats involved in getting my license etc. i think i might pop up to the anglesy and have a look round, any idea on the pirce of tickets and if they need to be pre-ordered?
